Not my favorite but got better

I elected to give this only a 3 because I thought the book was a little slow in the beginning and didn't care much for the mental hospital portion of the book. Seemed a little disjointed. Once that portion was over the book got better.

Great Series But a Bad Book

Uninspired with a ridiculous plot and a bunch of pseudo psychology. A poor attempt to make a political point about the CIA and big government. The first Baldacci book that fails at all levels. Flipped through pages in the hope it would get better but it never does. A waste of precious reading time. I love the King and Maxwell series and David Baldacci but, everyone is entitled to at least one failure and this is Baldacci's.

Starts with lots backstory and then builds following multiple stores that converge into the finally.

In this story, like the previous one, you get to know more about the leading character ... in this case, Michelle.

Ended rapidly, a little to quick for me, but a good ending.

So glad I can visit the cement ship anytime I want!

I hope to be able to visit the cement ship for a long time to come. Having the good fortune to live in Seacliff and being personally involved with the person who was responsible (Rose Costa) for having the cement ship refurbished after the floods of 82-83 is a great honor. Unfortunately, Rose passed away last year and the ship is in need of repair again. The state parks have no money, so they say, and I am trying with other people (Friends of Rose) to pick up where Rose left off. The book was delightfully enlightening of the S S Palo Alto's history!

An excellent guide to natural remedies for relieving symptoms of dengue fever. Thorough and well-researched. Though I consider myself a student of dengue treatment, I was unaware that one of the best remedies is tawa-tawa, which literally grows on every vacant lot here in Thailand. I have to admit, I didn't know very much about this dreaded disease that takes thousands of lives each year and according to the author, CuthBert Gobble: "takes hold of about 50 million people each year. Through a list of home remedies listed in the book by boosting one's immune system there is a cure. Dengue Fever is caused by mosquitoes and hits mostly the tropics, so first off there needs to be prevention, to prevent mosquito bites. Repairing and installing screens on windows and doors, getting rid of standing water, using Deet based repellent and other preventatives. There are two things I didn't like about the book: One, it has some typos and sometimes the language seems like it's a translation and two, there is not much stated as far a research into the various curatives, just that they work. Mr Gobble states that both Ayurvedric and Traditional Chinese medicine have done research on Dengue Fever. What I liked about the book is that it offers a cure, several cures in fact, for this dreaded malady.
