I am so disappointed for the price (about $20 at time of purchase)

Not very impressed with this small paperback book - at least half of the recipes had yogurt as a main ingredient and, since I am allergic to dairy products (casein), I cannot possibly make those recipes and put that stuff on my face. The other recipes are things I already knew to mix up, since I am a cosmetologist and I took a course on this in college (just basic ingredients anyone with common sense could come up with on their own). I am so disappointed for the price (about $20 at time of purchase). Also, it took Amazon.com at least 2 weeks to ship the book out to me (slow service) and it arrived about 4 weeks after I placed the order. Now I have to pay return shipping charges if I want to ship it back. Not what I was expecting at all.

I like this book a lot, it has help me with keeping my acne under control as well as giving my skin the nourishment it needs. I like the fact that the author explains everything very well, and that the format of the book facilitates finding the recipes for my skin type. I like to use the recipes for dry skin on my hair and rest of my body like my legs. However, I didn't like the fact that I didn't have some of the ingredients at home, but that's just me. Overall, I like It.

New Favorite Beauty Book!!

Recently purchased Homemade Facial Masks, loved all the tips and ideas, not to mention the masks themselves and purchased 3 more copies which I gave as gifts to girlfriends. Most ingredients were right in my kitchen which made prep time a snap. My favorites so far are "Simply Avocado", "Cucumber & Mint Refresher ", "Starry Eyes" and "Anti-Aging Facial Mask". This book would make a great anytime gift, birthday or holiday. Put together a basket with book, ingredients for a couple masks, tools and WOW, now that's a gift any woman would love to receive!
