Perfect for my situation

My son recently asked me "how do babies start?", so I started looking for some ideas on how I could introduce him to the subject. The various content I found on the web was too generic; I wanted more specific guidance. This book ended up being perfect for our situation. It presented the basics in a family-friendly way, without going into too much detail.
The previous review that states to "not expect any biological explanations about where babies come from" is not accurate. This book does not discuss the details of intercourse (the author's treatment of intercourse is basically a couple of sentences about how mommies' and daddies' bodies are made to "fit together"), but it does mention "details" of human anatomy and biology that are appropriate for the 7-9 age group for which it was written.
I highly recommend the book, but would give you this advice: if you think this may not be enough information, buy the second book in the series (How You Are Changing: For Boys Ages 10-12 and Parents) so you'll have it on-hand just in case...

Just right

This book is great to share this sensitive topic with your son. It gives just the right amount of information that we wanted to share at this time as well as opening the door for future conversations and for developing trust between us and our son. This series is just what we were looking for and we have purchased the remaining books in the series to use as our son grows.

Great series on sensitive topic!

After reading this and the 4-6 year old version to my boys, I would highly recommend the whole series. The books give just the right amount of information and do so in story format that is enjoyable for the kids. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this series to anybody that wants to teach this sensitive subject to their kids, but not sure how to approach it themselves.
