If you're planning a vacation to Walt Disney World, this is a great book to get to help you! Some other WDW guidebooks are massive - so much so that it actually stressed me out. What I loved about this book is that it tells you what you need to know but is concise enough that I didn't feel overwhelmed. I bought the eBook version and the great thing about the eBook is that it includes links to websites you may need during your planning - all I had to do was click on the link! Easy! Would highly recommend this book!

If you want an ubiased history of the ANC during the party's exile years, this is probably the best book there at the moment. It has no axes to grind, and is also not a hagiography either.

First chapter is extremely good in the literature sense, but after that the book is written more like an academic paper, meaning it is impressive with fact finding but tends to be a dry read.

I recommend it especially for those who want to know unaffected facts about this period of the South African history. It is not only limited to the Zambia experience but Tanzanian also.

After a long day of running around gathering supplies to throw a great party, my son Joshua tugged on my shirt and asked, "Dad who had the first birthday party" To save myself from having to answer a million questions, I pointed to a greeting card that Steve and I had just completed, and which featured four brightly colored dinosaurs having a birthday party. To make a long story short, over the years Joshua and Kylee asked a million more questions (at least, it felt like a million more), and the story evolved into this book. Since then, the family, in association with Dreammation EFX Studios Inc. Dreammation Digital Media Group, and a handful of non-profit organizations, has performed the story of The First Birthday Party on radio, television, at the Kids Fair, L.A. Children's Hospital, the Special Olympics, the Foster Care Service, the YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club, and at Child Safety Awareness events across America.

The Best Children's Book Ever

I read this book with my grandkids. They are two and four and a half and they were both really entertained. We've read it a couple of times now and it looks like it might become a favorite. The older one especially got a big kick out of the comeuppance the "bad" dinosaurs received for trying to steal the birthday cake. It's a sweet little story and I really like the illustrations. The characters are likable and humorous and the colors are fantastically appealing to the eye. It's a very "happy" activity to share with children

An Engaging, Entertaining & Educational Read

As a producer of films for children, I'm always looking for new material with an engaging story and educational value or both. The First Birthday Party is one of those. This is a well put together narrative with upbeat humor and very lovable characters. There's a sense of a loving community around Archie, the baby pterodactyl who is the story's birthday boy. The book sends a very positive message to kids in an entertaining way. I would recommend it.
